InDesign CS5 Tips & Tricks Webinar Wrap up

Thank you to everyone who attended our June webinar, "InDesign CS5 Tips & Tricks!" This webinar gave an inside look at InDesign and how to better use the program in CS5. Adobe expert Clint Funk was the guest speaker for the webinar and did a fantastic job captivating the audience and demonstrating multiple features in InDesign. The response rate for this webinar was outstanding! The webinar gave an overview of InDesign CS5 along with Bridge and Mini Bridge. InDesign has made large strides in print production over the years and CS5 is the biggest stride yet. InDesign is not just for print anymore. You can build interactivity directly in InDesign and export files straight to the web. These improvements have taken the grunt work out of production leaving more time for designers to be more creative.

What did we do?

The "InDesign CS5 Tips & Tricks" featured guest speaker Clint Funk, Solutions Engineer with Adobe. Clint addressed the different functionalities of InDesign and Bridge. Attendees were engaged by Clint as he demoed multiple functions and use cases in InDesign including the GAP tool, interactive maps, metadata, captions, etc. We had an enormous amount of questions on each topic. Because the webinar was so interactive and questions were answered on the spot in demo format by Clint, watching the recorded webinar is the best way to review Q&As.

What did we see?

The "InDesign CS5 Tips & Tricks" webinar engaged attendees while Clint gave expert advice on the use of InDesign. Part of the webinar focused on demonstrations in Bridge on how to input flash video and moving photos on a page. Interactive videos are a great way to grab people’s attention. The second part of the webinar concentrated on building interactive pages such as digital magazines in InDesign. Clint demonstrated the many choices you have to change layouts, customize captions, and move and resize pictures and text. Clint was able to show many short cuts for designers while using the program and answer any questions about the use of InDesign making it more effective for designers.
